Our Commitment Building a Sustainable Future

Climate change has pushed the Earth into uncharted territory. Rising sea levels, melting arctic ice, and record high temperatures are just some of the warning signs. If we continue to consume, populate, and build the way we have been doing, rising global temperatures will cause irreversible damage to the planet. The choices we make today will define our tomorrow.

To confront this crisis, we must consider sustainability in a holistic way. SOM is committed to leading within our industry by investing in the development of innovative, integrated approaches to sustainable design—not just to meet standards, but to redefine them. As a collective of architects, engineers, designers, and planners, we’re working to shape a better future.
